Required for this luxury hotel group, an experienced BDM/Account manager to represent and grow awareness in the travel trade for their product. You will be covering Scotland. Salary up to £43k plus benefits.
Experience wise, they are looking for a BDM from the travel industry, ideally with a background within hotels or cruise, and contacts within the travel agency world.
Business Development Manager Duties:
- 3 or 4 days on the road, visiting new and existing travel agencies to grow awareness of the company's brand and products
- Training staff, agreeing new commercial terms, organising fam trips and attending numerous travel events and trade shows
- Targeting 10 to 15 visits per week
- Identifying new travel agents, concierge desks and luxury specialists
- Analysing market trends and competitor activity
- Providing monthly reports on sales performance
Business Development Manager Skills Required:
- Experience within the travel industry, ideally targeting luxury travel agencies
- Based in Scotland is a must
- Ideally from a hotel or cruise background but open to other areas of travel
- Clean UK driving license
- Strong presenting skills
