Required to work for this established sports travel specialist to help launch a new division. You will have a background in sports travel and strong business development experience. Ideally based in the North West but happy to look elsewhere for an exceptional candidate. Duties of a Business Development Manager:
- Developing a new division for this already successful schools sports travel company, launching their Padel division aimed at corporates and padel clubs.
- Organising corporate UK days as well as padel holidays to mainly Spain and Portugal.
- The product is already set up and ready to go; they just need a strong sales professional with a background in sports travel to get the word out and target corporates and racquet clubs to sell the product.
- Ideally one day office-based in the North West, the other out and about and on the phone selling the product.
- Own the whole cycle from lead generation through to booking confirmation.
- Create compelling high-converting proposals and itineraries.
- Negotiate with suppliers to gain the best commercial terms.
Skills required of a Business Development Manager:
- Business development experience within sports travel.
- The drive and contacts to start and drive a new division forward with the support of the existing leadership team.
- Very strong telephone manner, presenting skills, and able to get proposals over the line.
Additional information:
- Ideally one day a week in their North West office, but happy with a home-based person.
- Benefits include pension and 25 days holidays.
