This is a wonderful opportunity to join an established and growing company based in the Birmingham area, who are expanding their accounts and finance team. This role will be varied and cover accounts payable/receivable along with areas of payroll combined with admin duties. This role can be full time (37.5hrs per week) or on a part time basis (approx. 20hrs a week) with flexibility on days/times and offers a salary FTE £30-35k. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9 to 6.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Process and approve invoices, expense claims and ad hoc payments whilst maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Query invoices with managers and suppliers and chase outstanding invoices/payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Support with payroll processes, including absence verification.
  • Monitor, action and redirect emails as appropriate.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance and office teams.
  • Support HR with onboarding paperwork, visas, medical and employee records management.

Experience Required:

  • Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable experience.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Ability to maintain clear and accurate financial records.
  • Analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
  • Excellent eye for detail and accuracy skills.

Additional Information:

  • Monday to Friday, 9 to 6 (can either work full time 37.5hrs or on a part time basis 20hrs per week, flexible on hours worked).
  • Salary FTE £30-35k.
  • Office based in Birmingham.
