Required for this global travel company. The role will be called a land commission assistant, you will be tracking, invoicing and chasing hotel commission on current debt for the company. An accounts background in travel or hotels is a must, clear telephone manner, able to deal with problematic situations. Salary up to £27,000 plus benefits, office based in central London.

Duties of an Accounts Assistant:

  • Timely and effective collection of all debts owed
  • Resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices in a timely manner
  • Managing and maintaining the shared Landcomms inbox in a timely manner
  • Posting and allocating daily credit receipts to the accounting system paid via various vendors, Onyx, Tacs, Expedia
  • Providing accounts information, for example aged debt reports
  • Month End procedure and sending out Monthly statements via systems and manual process

Skills required of an Accounts Assistant:

  • Accounts experience within the travel or hotel industry
  • Ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Ability to reconcile complex accounts
  • Clear and professional telephone manner
  • Strong with Microsoft Office
  • Prior experience with accounts systems
