This successful retail travel company has been operating for more than 30 years and are experts in both leisure and business travel. They have a new opportunity for a Travel Consultant with business and leisure travel experience to join their friendly, professional team on a temporary basis over July.
Role & Responsibilities
- You will be working as part of a small team, assisting with making hotel, flight, and rail bookings using Sabre & Dolphin, for a portfolio of corporate clients.
- Ensuring a timely and efficient & professional service at all times.
- Assisting customers both face to face, by phone and email with holiday enquiries including cruise, European & longhaul destinations.
- Using your expert knowledge & exceptional sales technique to guide customers in selecting the most suitable holiday to meet their requirements.
- Using social media to promote the company and range of special offers and interact with customers as appropriate.
Skills & Experience
- Business or Leisure travel sales experience - preferable working in retail travel or tour operations.
- Wide range of destination knowledge.
- Ability to provide an exceptional service, with proven sales ability.
- Experience of Sabre would be an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
- Knowledge of Wordpress would be an advantage.
- Social Media skills / experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a desire to provide exceptional service at all times.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload and remain organised.
- Positive friendly outlook with an ability to build a rapport with customers and suppliers.
Additional Information
- Paying up to Β£14.00ph DOE.
- Retail travel - office based role (town centre location).
- Preferably full time, but will consider part time for candidates with experience.
- Need to be able to start ASAP and work throughout July to cover annual leave.
