Business development manager required for this fantastic charity, with links within the travel industry. They are looking for an experienced business development manager from either the travel industry or a charity to join the team. The role involves approaching new corporate companies to help grow their fundraising growth.
Working conditions: 5 days a week, 2 days in the office in South West London, 3 days out and about and from home. Salary between £40,000 - £45,000 plus pension, 23 days holidays etc.
Business development manager's duties:
- Focus on securing new corporate business, winning, negotiating and delivering new partners and meeting sales/fundraising targets.
- Providing relevant research, preparing pitches and presentations, and attending meetings.
- Contribute to proposals to trusts and foundations, supporting the head of fundraising and communications.
- Provide support for the company's events, networking opportunities, conferences and partner events, building relationships with potential supporters and corporate contacts.
- Keep up to date with fundraising trends.
Business development manager's skills required:
- Minimum of two years experience in a business development role within the travel industry targeting corporates or within the charity sector.
- Excellent written skills and able to create compelling proposals.
- Ability to research and engage prospective supporters.
- Excellent verbal communication skills including presentation skills.
- Self-starter with a can-do attitude.
- Confident, motivated.
