Group Accountant with Immediate start. London / Hybrid, Temporary Assignment (approximately 3 months)
We’re looking for a Group Accountant to join the finance team of a global travel business, supporting consolidated reporting, statutory accounts, financial controls and regulatory compliance.
Group Accountant, Responsibilities
- Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated accounts and reporting in line with IFRS.
- Assisting with the delivery of accurate Group accounts to management, the Board and external stakeholders.
- Maintaining and enhancing the Group financial control environment, particularly around consolidation and reporting.
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations and monthly variance analysis, investigating movements and identifying potential issues.
- Supporting the preparation of Group financial statements, disclosures and regulatory reporting.
- Working closely with Treasury to reconcile and explain movements in investments and debt.
- Supporting the external audit process and ensuring audit requirements are delivered accurately and on time.
- Preparing technical accounting papers and memos in accordance with IFRS and relevant local standards.
- Supporting regulatory compliance and the ongoing development of Group finance policies and processes.
- Working with the Head of Tax on the implementation and maintenance of the Group's transfer pricing policy.
- Contributing to wider finance transformation, process improvement and business priorities.
Group Accountant, Skills Required
- You'll ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong technical and analytical background. We will also consider those 'qualified by experience'.
- Proven experience in group accounting, financial reporting, audit or financial control.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to investigate variances and clearly explain financial movements.
- Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of how interconnected finance systems impact reporting.
- Experience working within a multinational or international organisation.
- The ability to communicate complex accounting matters clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- A technology-focused mindset and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.

- Hybrid with the offices in central London
- Paying up to £30p/h depending on experience
- Working Mon – Fri
