Are you a passionate travel expert with experience in creating unforgettable holiday experiences? We are working with a prestigious, well-established tour operator specialising in bespoke adventures across North America, including the USA, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. From vibrant city breaks and thrilling theme park escapes to tranquil beach retreats and epic road trips, they design tailor-made itineraries to suit every traveller's unique requirements. They are currently seeking Travel Specialists to join their team and help create exceptional holiday experiences for their customers.

Basic salary of £25k to £28k plus lucrative monthly commission, hybrid working - 1 day per week in the office.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • As a Travel Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional travel experiences by creating tailor-made holiday itineraries and ensuring a seamless booking process.
  • Engage with customers to create tailor made & package holidays.
  • Deal with incoming calls and emails and proactively follow up on warm leads to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Obtain detailed customer requirements and deliver exceptional service to create tailored holiday experiences.
  • Use booking systems to book all elements of a customer's holiday.
  • Identify new sales opportunities to drive repeat business.
  • Provide outstanding customer service from initial inquiry to post-travel support.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Proven travel sales experience, from tour operations, retail travel or travel homeworking with a sales focused / target driven approach.
  • A passion for travel and strong varied destination knowledge particularly with North America, Caribbean & Mexico.
  • Experience using a GDS system such as Amadeus.
  • A desire to provide exceptional customer service at every touch point throughout the booking and post sales journey.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build a strong rapport with customers over the phone and email.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload, highly organised with a flexible and adaptable work style.
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate grammar and numerical skills.
  • A motivated, results-driven mindset with a can-do attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Additional Information:
  • Basic salary of £25k to £28k (depending on experience) plus tiered monthly commission and lucrative uncapped OTE.
  • Hybrid working with 1 day in the office and 4 days from home.
  • 9 to 5.30 Monday to Saturday (Saturdays on a rota basis). Sundays on a rota during January & February only.
