This unique travel company are Africa specialists and offer bespoke holidays across Africa, the Middle East & Indian Ocean. They pride themselves on their expert team of travel specialists and are now looking for a home based Africa Travel Specialist to join their small team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Travel Specialist, ideally with first hand experience of travel to Southern Africa and with proven experience in a travel sales role. Rewarded with a generous basic salary of £35k to £40k plus bonus, regular fam trips and discounted holidays!
Responsibilities
- Responding to incoming calls and emails, providing expert advice to travel agents
- Creating tailor-made itineraries to match customer requirements
- Processing quotes and confirming bookings
- Providing an efficient, customer focused after sales service
- Administration of bookings, ensuring information is correct for invoicing and documentation
- Attendance at relevant supplier events / product training as appropriate
- Assisting product & marketing teams as required according to business demands
Requirements
- Proven experience in a tailor-made travel sales role and in booking trips to Africa
- First hand experience of travelling to Africa, Middle East and / or Indian Ocean
- Strong sales ability with specific experience of selling holidays to travel agents
- Passion for travel with genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service
- GDS skills would be an advantage but full training will be provided
Additional Information
- Basic salary of £35k to £40k dependent on experience plus commission / bonus
- Fully home based (in the UK) – all equipment provided
- Monday to Friday 9 to 5.30, Saturday mornings on a rota, approx. 1 in 4
- Regular Fam trips to amazing destinations
