Travel Trade Account Manager required by an established Travel Industry PR and Marketing agency to work closely with their Tourism clients to maximise their visibility and connections in the travel industry.
Circa 35K.
Hybrid working.
Account Manager Responsibilities
- Represent destinations professionally, enhancing their visibility, reputation and commercial presence within the travel sector.
- Build strong relationships with tour operators, airlines, tourism organisations, travel agents, media and strategic industry partners to generate sales and marketing opportunities.
- Expand existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities across leisure and business tourism.
- Plan and manage trade shows, consumer events, joint promotions, sales activities and client visits throughout the UK and Europe.
- Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, accommodation and hospitality for visiting clients, followed by reporting and evaluation of results.
- Prepare regular market updates, sales reports and account reviews, monitoring performance against agreed targets and KPIs.
- Develop promotional campaigns, partnerships and familiarisation trips, including organisation, participant management and follow-up activity.
- Work closely with PR colleagues to maximise travel-trade and consumer media exposure.
- Support and develop junior account staff while managing budgets, deadlines, and multiple priorities.
Account Manager Experience & Skills
- Minimum three years’ experience in Account Management or Partnership Marketing within travel
- Excellent communication, sales, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
- Established contacts within the UK travel trade, particularly tour operators, airlines and travel agents.
- Strong IT skills, including CRM systems, email marketing platforms, Microsoft Office, social media and Photoshop.
- Demonstrable ability to manage accounts, budgets, campaigns, targets and measurable commercial results.
- Excellent organisational, analytical and time-management abilities.
- Comfortable working independently, remotely and travelling when required.
