We are looking for a passionate and commercially driven Sales Team Leader to join a leading luxury travel business specialising in tailor made beach holidays.
This is a hands on leadership role, perfect for an experienced team leader or travel sales professional who enjoys leading by example, developing teams and driving outstanding sales results.
Fully home based in the UK or Ireland.
Sales Team Leader - Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a high performing sales team, driving individual and team sales performance to achieve and exceed revenue, target and conversion objectives.
- Monitor daily sales activity, productivity and conversion rates, identifying opportunities to maximise revenue and margins.
- Maintain your own sales pipeline while supporting colleagues with complex enquiries, closing bookings and re engaging dormant leads.
- Conduct regular one to one meetings, team briefings and performance reviews.
- Create a positive, target driven culture that encourages collaboration, accountability and success.
- Ensure the team delivers exceptional customer service throughout the entire customer journey.
- Work closely with Product, Commercial and Marketing teams, providing feedback on customer trends, product performance and competitor activity.
- Identify training needs and support the ongoing development of destination, product and sales knowledge across the team, delivering in house training and supporting the onboarding of new team members.
- Contribute to team rotas, staffing requirements and annual educational trips.
- Recommend and implement ideas to improve sales performance, processes and overall business results.
Sales Team Leader - Skills & Experience Required
- Proven travel sales experience with strong knowledge of beach holiday destinations for both long haul and European destinations.
- Previous team leadership, supervisory or coaching experience within a sales environment.
- Consistent track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify revenue generating opportunities.
- Excellent communication, coaching and motivational skills.
- Hands on and proactive approach with a willingness to lead from the front.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, target driven environment.
