This leading specialist travel company are passionate about providing meaningful, inspiring and innovative holidays and school trips to a range of destinations chosen by their team of experts. They now have a vacancy for an Operations Executive to join their education team to provide exceptional service to teachers, supporting them throughout the booking journey and thereafter, in this varied customer service and administrative role. Rewarded with a salary of £27k to £29k depending on experience, hybrid working with a range of fabulous company benefits.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers throughout the booking journey to answer questions and provide information.
  • Creation of detailed itineraries, using your knowledge to plan the details of the trip.
  • Produce accurate documentation including confirmations, invoices & checklists.
  • Administration of confirmed bookings, ensuring schools are aware of deadlines for information requirements and payment deadlines etc.
  • Liaison with suppliers to ensure all elements of the trip are confirmed as booked.
  • Handle booking amendments, cancellations and update the relevant systems.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to all in-resort matters arising, ensuring a satisfactory outcome.
  • Provide cover on the emergency phone roster on a rota basis (2 to 3 times per year).

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience in the travel industry, in an operations or customer service role, or with experience working as a teacher (humanities subjects).
  • A love of travel with a good range of destination knowledge.
  • Flexible approach with an ability to thrive in a busy role, effectively managing and prioritising workload.
  • Ability to deliver presentations to schools in person or virtually as appropriate.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent teamwork.
  • Exceptional customer service focus and skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Practical experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Key Benefits:

  • Salary £27k to £29k depending on experience + bonuses of up to £1800 p/a once fully trained.
  • Hybrid role with 2 days p/w in beautiful modern office.
  • Monday to Friday 9 to 5.
  • Out of hours phone cover on a rota basis (2 to 3 times per year on average).
  • 23 days leave increasing to 29 days with length of service.
