We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Manager to lead a busy Accounts Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven finance professional to take ownership of financial operations, manage a small team, and play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. This is a hands-on role that combines leadership with operational accounting responsibilities. The role will be working Mon-Fri 9-5.30 on a hybrid basis and offers a salary up to £43,500.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the Accounts team to ensure accurate monthly management accounts are produced within agreed deadlines
- Lead, train, and develop team members to achieve departmental objectives
- Ensure timely collection of debts in line with agreed terms
- Oversee creditor payments, ensuring adherence to payment schedules
- Take full ownership of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Lead the annual audit process, working closely with the CFO
- Liaise with senior stakeholders, directors, and external suppliers to maintain high service standards
- Work closely with external auditors to ensure compliance with legal and accounting requirements
Experience Required
- Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Minimum 2 years’ experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar system
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong numerical and analytical ability
- Proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft Excel
- Strong cash flow management and control
- Timely production of monthly and annual accounts
