We're Hiring: Scientific Director | Healthcare Communications

Our client, a leading independent medical communications agency, they partner with leading healthcare organisations to develop compelling scientific and promotional communications across a range of therapy areas.
They're now looking for an experienced Scientific Director to join their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic scientific leader who thrives on translating complex science into meaningful stories, building trusted client partnerships, and shaping high-quality communications that make a real difference.
What you'll be doing:
- Acting as the scientific lead across key client accounts and therapy areas
- Providing authoritative scientific expertise and strategic guidance
- Owning and overseeing scientific content to ensure excellence, accuracy, and consistency
- Leading complex scientific discussions, client meetings, and workshops
- Collaborating closely with Client Services, Creative, Editorial, and Strategy teams
- Supporting business growth through pitches, proposals, and new client opportunities
- Mentoring and guiding writers while maintaining hands‑on involvement in content development
We're looking for someone with:
- A degree in a relevant life science discipline (postgraduate qualification or PhD advantageous)
- Significant experience within a healthcare communications agency environment across promotional/commercial and/or medical affairs deliverables
- A strong background in medical writing and scientific content development
- Strategic thinking and a consultative approach to client relationships
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine passion for science and healthcare communications
