Our client has developed a platform that transforms how critical medical knowledge is accessed at the point of care. Founded and developed by doctors, the platform currently powers how medical information is accessed by clinicians. Our client is looking for an entrepreneurial Business Development Director to join their lean, mission-driven team at a pivotal scaling moment.
This role is responsible for managing the full sales cycle and overseeing the delivery of client campaigns on their platform. The person will work closely with internal teams, agency partners, and pharmaceutical/healthcare clients to ensure campaigns are executed smoothly and clients receive a high-quality experience. They will also work closely with the CCO to scale and improve the current sales and campaign processes as the company grows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the entire sales process, from generating leads and running demos to negotiating contracts and closing deals with pharma, medtech, and agency clients.
- Building and managing a strong sales pipeline.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records.
- Developing relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Positioning our client as the platform for key medical knowledge.
- Creating campaign proposals and negotiating commercial terms.
- Sharing market insights with internal teams to help improve the platform.
The role requires someone with strong experience winning new business in pharma, medtech, or healthcare media, with the ability to manage complex B2B sales involving multiple stakeholders. Candidates should have 7+ years’ experience in pharma-related marketing, media, or account management, a proven record of hitting revenue targets, and strong client relationship, communication, and presentation skills. They should also understand the UK pharmaceutical marketing environment (including ABPI compliance) and be results-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup-style setting.
Commission + Stock Options + Full Medical Cover + Hybrid London working, at least TWO days in a central London office. Please do NOT apply if you can't be in central London at least TWO days per week - this is non-negotiable.
