We’re looking for a Finance Graduate Apprentice to join our Finance team. As a registered Social Landlord, Clyde Valley Housing Association provides over 4,700 affordable homes to individuals and families across Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire. Our Finance team deliver efficient, high-quality and effective financial services that directly support Clyde Valley Group's mission to provide excellent housing services and sustainable communities and are central to ensuring we can deliver excellent customer service and in supporting our colleagues to do more of the work that they, and our customers value.
As a Finance Graduate Apprentice you’ll gain hands-on experience across core areas of finance whilst studying over 5 years towards a Master’s degree in Accountancy. You’ll combine both study and work-based learning building a strong foundation in financial reporting, management accounting, while gaining exposure to budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis within a live business environment. You’ll learn how to interpret financial data and ensure compliance with regulatory standards as well as build on your leadership skills and business acumen. As a graduate apprentice, you will be empowered to develop with a focus on helping Clyde Valley deliver on our organisational goals and objectives.
What will I learn? During the study part of your apprenticeship, you’ll do a Master of Accountancy at Glasgow Caledonian University, which means at the end of your apprenticeship you'll be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant with ACCA membership.
What qualifications or qualities are required? To be eligible for this apprenticeship you must live in Scotland and meet SAAS funding eligibility criteria and you must be 16 or over. You will need one of the following:
- Scottish Highers: BBBBB, including Higher in Maths or Accountancy (135 UCAS tariff points)
- Have attained an HNC or HND or equivalent in Accountancy or Finance related subject
- Have 2 years demonstrable Finance or Accountancy experience with successful study at SCQF Level 7 or above
- Have 4 years demonstrable Finance or Accountancy experience and successful study at SCQF Level 6 or above.
- An appropriate foundation or modern apprenticeship would be the equivalent of one Higher (Foundation) or 2 Highers (Modern)
Being proactive, taking initiative and being able to self-manage and prioritise a workload is a key part of this role, as this role will involve the discipline to earn while you learn and is a five-year study commitment, alongside working at Clyde Valley Group.
