The Corporate Insurance team sits at the centre of the firm’s global insurance practice, advising leading insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries, MGAs and financial institutions on complex, high‑value corporate and regulatory matters. The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Legal Director to lead sophisticated transactions, manage key client relationships and contribute to the strategic growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex insurance M&A, joint ventures and corporate restructurings.
- Advise on portfolio transfers, including Part VII court‑sanctioned processes.
- Provide strategic guidance on UK and EU insurance regulatory matters, including PRA/FCA requirements, governance and conduct issues.
- Act as a senior client contact, developing and maintaining long‑term relationships with major insurers, reinsurers and intermediaries.
- Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers within the team.
- Support business development initiatives, thought leadership and client‑facing projects across the firm’s insurance platform.
- Collaborate with colleagues globally on multi‑disciplinary and cross‑border matters.
Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 7+ PQE in corporate or corporate insurance work.
- Strong experience advising insurers, reinsurers, brokers, MGAs or other regulated financial services clients.
- Proven track record leading complex transactions and managing senior‑level client relationships.
- Excellent technical skills, commercial judgement and the ability to deliver clear, pragmatic advice.
- Experience supervising junior lawyers and contributing to team leadership.
- Ambition to progress within a global, high‑performing practice.
