The role of a Travel Consultant represents the high level of customer service and care which creates value for our customers. Travel Consultants are the front-line representation of the company, with daily interactions across a range of customers to support all their travel needs. The ability to build relationships with customers by communicating personally and efficiently is vital to develop confidence and trust in our services.
Responsibilities
- Marine & Offshore / Business Travel: Book travel in line with customer policies and preferences, including flights, accommodation, car hire, and all other arrangements required for a business trip.
- Productivity: Maintain quality customer service while working through a high volume of transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Customer Feedback: Seek and record customer feedback and savings for customers to demonstrate the value of our services.
- Emergency Resolution: Inform customers of any disruption through regular checks of internal alerts, GDS queues, and internal messaging centres.
- Customer Meetings & Engagement: Participate in customer meetings and engagement opportunities to build relationships and offer operational expertise.
- Best Practice: Follow all best practice processes and procedures, ensuring adherence to supplier terms and conditions to avoid ADMs.
- Product Knowledge: Proactively seek and engage with supplier training to improve product knowledge and expertise.
- Invoice Queries: Complete all internal scripting processes for bookings to record accurate invoicing data, and respond timely to any invoice queries.
Candidate Requirements
- Educated to HNC/HND level in Travel and Tourism is beneficial.
- Office environment exposure is required.
- Excellent attention to detail.
