We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and forward thinking Area Manager to lead our branch operations and support the continued growth of our market leading Shawlands Branch. This is a key leadership role within the company, responsible for driving sales, maintaining exceptional service standards, developing a high performing team, and guaranteeing the branch consistently delivers against budgets.

As part of the company’s management group, the successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, and a proactive approach at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day to day operation of the branch across Estate Agency
  • Ensure operational objectives, service standards, and financial targets are achieved or exceeded
  • Promote and implement best practice across all areas of the business
  • Lead sales negotiator for branch
  • Maintain high standards of compliance across all regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Protect and enhance the company brand and reputation at all times
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and industry leading standards
  • Business Development
  • Increase market share and identify opportunities for growth
  • Develop and expand into new markets where appropriate
  • Grow stock levels strategically
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and fellow Area Managers to achieve wider business objectives
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high performing branch team
  • Make sure the branch is appropriately staffed
  • Support training, coaching, and ongoing professional development
  • Foster a positive, hardworking, and supportive team culture
  • Encourage high standards of professionalism, accountability, and customer service
  • Manage payroll communication and ensure staff records remain accurate and up to date

About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong experience within Estate Agency
  • Have sales negotiator experience and a proven track record in residential sales
  • Be a confident leader with excellent communication and people management skills
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness and a results driven mindset
  • Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment and lead by example

Full Time – Core hours are as follows:

  • Monday 9am – 5pm
  • Tuesday 9am – 5pm
  • Thursday – 9am – 5pm
  • Friday – 8am – 5pm

Flexibility will be required to cover office opening hours and late night appointments, this includes participation in a weekend rota from time to time.

Salary: DOE – Highly competitive basic salary, plus performance related bonus.
