Clyde Munro is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Roving Dentist to join our established network across Scotland. This is a unique opportunity to combine flexibility and variety with the security of a salaried role, supporting our practices while delivering continuity of care to loyal patient bases.

About the Role

This position is specifically designed as a caretaker role, supporting our associate dentists during periods of maternity leave or long-term absence. You will not be covering vacant positions; instead, you will inherit a well-maintained, up-to-date patient list within an established and supportive team. Each placement (or “rotation”) typically lasts 6-9 months, during which time you will be based in a single practice. This allows you to build rapport with patients and colleagues, while providing reassurance and continuity during your colleague’s absence. At the end of each rotation a new placement will be arranged—giving you variety without uncertainty. Patients you’ll be caring for are loyal, engaged, and appreciative, understanding that you are supporting their practice while their usual dentist is away. This creates a rewarding clinical environment where your contribution is genuinely valued.

Location

With 65 practices across Scotland, this role offers a broad range of locations. While placements may be nationwide, the majority are in Central, East, and West Scotland, and we aim to plan rotations with practicality in mind.

Working Pattern & Salary

  • Salary up to ÂŁ120,000 per annum (based on 4-5 days per week)
  • Flexible working options: 3, 4, or 5 days per week
  • 3‑day roles considered, with salary offered on a pro‑rated basis

Why This Role?

  • Flexibility in working patterns and locations
  • The stability and benefits of a salaried position
  • The reassurance of working with well‑maintained, loyal patient lists
  • A role where you are valued as a trusted stand‑in, not filling gaps in vacant posts

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering high‑quality, patient‑focused dental care
  • Maintaining continuity for patients during associate absences
  • Integrating seamlessly into established practice teams
  • Upholding excellent clinical and compliance standards

What We’re Looking For

  • GDC registered Dentist with a strong commitment to patient care
  • Adaptable and confident across different clinical environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence (travel is essential)

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary with flexible working options
  • Structured rotations with forward planning
  • Supportive and collaborative working culture
  • Opportunity to gain experience across a wide network of practices

If you’re looking for a role that offers meaningful work, variety, and security in equal measure, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now and become a valued part of Clyde Munro’s nationwide team.
