We are looking for two Chief Engineers to join a general cargo ship. The assignment will involve a 4‑week on/4‑week off rotation, with the two engineers scheduled back‑to‑back. The day rate is over £370.00, with the start date to be confirmed.

Key Responsibilities

  • The successful candidates will serve as the sole engineer on board and be responsible for all engineering operations.
  • Experience working as a sole engineer or in a small engineering team is preferred.

Requirements

  • Right to work in the United Kingdom (must hold UK residence or UK RTW permit).
  • Ability to be based in the European Union.
  • Experience as sole engineer or in a small team onboard a commercial vessel.

  • UK Residence or UK RTW Permit (if applicable)
  • STCW Certificate of Competency (COC) – Chief Engineer
  • STCW Advanced MN Fire Fighting A‑VI/3
  • STCW Elementary First Aid A‑VI/1‑3
  • STCW Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting A‑VI/1‑2
  • STCW Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities A‑VI/1‑4
  • STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats A‑VI/2‑1 (other than Fast Rescue Boats)
  • STCW Security with Designated Duties A‑VI/6‑2
  • ENG1 Medical = ILO Medical = Seafarer Medical
