- Understand the business of the Group’s core and target clients to enable individualised business development activities based on the Group’s strategy
- Attend internal and client strategy meetings designed to manage client relationships, and support key client programmes relevant to the Group
- Identify opportunities to leverage legal developments, legal trends and regulatory changes to market the firm’s services to the Group’s clients, tailoring content created by Knowledge Lawyer(s) to analyse the legal and practical impact of such developments for those clients
- Write and lead on the distribution of technical legal content relevant to client base of the Group for which a detailed understanding of the Group’s work is required
- Devise and support on the delivery of non-technical marketing content for the Group aligned to its growth strategy, working alongside the business development and marketing teams, including thought leadership reports
- Lead on the organisation of client facing events, working alongside Knowledge Lawyer(s) for technical input and the business development and marketing/events teams
- Provide strategic input and direction on the preparation of pitch/RFP/pitch documentation to grow the Group’s business, based on an understanding of the legal work of the Group and the likely legal and practice issues of the relevant matters
- Provide strategic input on directory submissions for the Group to boost its profile and enhance the reputation of its work and its lawyers
- Support alignment between local, regional and global business development and knowledge strategy
- Contribute to agreed “added value” services to the Group’s core and target clients
- Promote the wider utilization of knowledge and business development tools and processes within the Group

Group leadership and practice support
- Manage and coordinate projects for the Group leadership requiring an understanding of relevant law and the sector
- Contribute to project management/process improvement projects and initiatives as required for the Group
Key Requirements
- Strong academic credentials
- Admitted in (a common law) jurisdiction
- Minimum (4 – 6) years post qualification experience as a practicing lawyer or knowledge lawyer, with direct involvement in sector-related transactions and advisory work
- Excellent English language skills (verbal and written) and the confidence to communicate and present well in a multi-cultural, multi-level matrix environment
- Excellent time management and organizing skills
- Innovative and client-focused in the use of delivery media
- Strong word processing, spreadsheet and presentation skills
- Strong legal research and excellent legal drafting skills
- Able to present information concisely and professionally
- Self-starter who is able to demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude to their work
- Consistently produces quality work and pays close attention to detail
- Ability to work with remote supervision as part of a dispersed team
- Able to multi-task and work on a variety of projects at the same time
- Keen to learn and develop, demonstrating enthusiasm and dedication
