The Bermuda Form team works on a broad and varied range of insurance and reinsurance disputes involving resolution in the English Courts and in international arbitration proceedings, with a particular focus on the Bermuda Form. Since the beginnings of the Form, our team has successfully represented insurers and reinsurers on Bermuda Form arbitrations and related proceedings involving pharmaceuticals, pollution, product liability, professional indemnity, property & casualty, directors & officers, securities class actions and other large excess liability claims. The team regularly acts for Bermuda insurers and reinsurers, London market insurers and reinsurers and for other major insurers of the Bermuda Form, and has extensive experience in running high‑value, document‑intensive coverage disputes to hearing at arbitration.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to review, analyse and summarise large volumes of legal and factual material with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong legal research skills, including use of online databases and case law resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise and well‑structured correspondence and reports.
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A collaborative team player with a willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to a positive working environment.
  • Sound judgment and commercial awareness in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
