Clyde & Co is seeking a talented litigation professional to join our market-leading Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss team. This opportunity is ideal for a Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or experienced Litigation Executive with a strong background in motor claims.

You will manage a caseload of complex, high-value personal injury matters, typically valued between £50,000 and £250,000, with opportunities to assist on claims with a value of £500,000. Working as part of a collaborative and high-performing team, you will deliver strategic, commercially focused legal advice to leading insurer clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a litigated caseload of motor claims involving serious injury
  • Handle claims valued £50,000–£250,000, with exposure to higher-value matters
  • Develop and implement case strategies to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Draft legal documentation including pleadings, witness statements, and reports
  • Obtain and analyse expert evidence (medical, liability, forensic)
  • Liaise with counsel, experts, insurers, and other stakeholders
  • Conduct settlement negotiations and support mediations
  • Ensure compliance with court deadlines and client SLAs
  • Maintain accurate file management and provide clear client reporting
Skills & Experience
  • Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience handling a caseload of motor claims
  • Strong understanding of liability and quantum issues
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
  • Strong organisation and ability to manage competing priorities
Preferred Experience
  • Defendant insurance background
  • Experience in catastrophic injury or large loss claims
  • Exposure to high-value claims (£100k+)
