We are also the leading Scottish historic abuse practice, at the forefront of the developing law. We act for major indemnifiers and insurers, as well as directly for healthcare professionals, local authorities and charities. Our team draws upon expertise from across the firm and consists of lawyers who specialise in litigation, regulatory and disciplinary hearings, public inquiries and more. Our extensive office network across the UK & Europe, US, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East enables us to deliver a seamless integrated service to our clients around the globe.
The Role: We are looking for a Senior Associate (6 plus PQE) to join our team. The role will involve managing a mixed caseload of clinical negligence and abuse claims. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding team within our multi-award winning firm. The role can be based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow and requires regular communication with clients. We have a collaborative, supportive team working in a modern, flexible environment. The successful candidate should preferably have experience in personal injury. Previous experience in clinical negligence or abuse claims will be an advantage but is not essential. This is an excellent opportunity to take a lead in a growing area where the law is developing and the work is challenging.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- A qualified solicitor 6 years plus PQE. Please note that our PQE levels are a guide, and all suitable candidates will be considered.
- You will hold litigation experience and be highly determined and able to adapt well within a demanding, fast paced environment.
- You will enjoy being challenged by complex legal issues and expanding your knowledge.
- You will be a confident and effective communicator.
- You will be focussed on delivering a highly professional service to clients, including compliance with client SLAs and MI requirements.
