We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our leading Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced legal professionals on complex, high-value personal injury claims, often involving life-changing injuries.

The successful candidate will support fee earners on a varied caseload of defendant personal injury matters, including motor, EL/PL, and large loss claims. You will gain exposure to high-profile litigation and play an integral role in case progression and client service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the management of a caseload of catastrophic injury and large loss files
  • Draft correspondence, witness statements, and legal documents
  • Review and analyse medical records, expert reports, and evidence
  • Liaise with clients, insurers, counsel, and third parties
  • Support trial preparation, including bundle creation and document management
  • Conduct legal research and assist with liability and quantum investigations
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, SLAs, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate file management and billing records

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in defendant personal injury litigation (ideally catastrophic injury or large loss)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop
