We are looking for a NQ/Junior Associate (NQ-2 years PQE) to join our Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss Team based in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will have previous experience in dealing with Catastrophic Personal Injury and Large Loss cases and will work with leading insurer, corporate, and public body clients. You will assist experienced partners on high-value, sensitive claims, manage your own caseload, and develop client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with all members of the team, handling a varied caseload and acting on behalf of insurance companies, self-insured commercial organisations and public bodies.
  • Carry out investigations, take witness statements, review and interpret medical records and reports.
  • Report to and liaise with clients to achieve the best outcomes and comply with client SLAs and MI requirements.
  • Manage files proactively and strategically, adhering to court timetables.
  • Draft legal documents and client advice.
  • Deal with interlocutory proceedings, CCMCs and client meetings.
  • Support partners in servicing existing clients, growing new business and maintaining relationships.
  • Support marketing and business development activity within the team and the wider Clyde & Co casualty group.

  • Experience of personal injury litigation and a willingness to tackle complex legal issues.
  • Focus on delivering professional service to clients and compliance with client SLAs and MI requirements.
