We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate (5+ PQE) to join our growing Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value claims within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

The Role

Our Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss team handles every stage of a claim—from liability investigations and policy coverage through to quantum assessment across all levels of Multi-Track work. The team works closely with experienced Partners on complex, high-value, and sensitive cases, acts for leading insurer and corporate clients, gains exposure to a broad range of claims including motor, employer's liability, and public liability, and plays a key role in building and maintaining client relationships. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding, award-winning team offering a modern, flexible and supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Partners on a varied caseload of catastrophic injury and large loss claims.
  • Conduct investigations:
    • Taking witness statements
    • Reviewing and interpreting medical records and reports
    • Liaising directly with clients and providing strategic legal advice
    • Ensuring compliance with client SLAs and MI requirements
    • Proactively managing files and adhering to court timetables
    • Drafting legal documents, pleadings, and client reports
    • Handling interlocutory proceedings and CCMCs
  • Support Partners in client development and business growth initiatives.
  • Contribute to marketing and business development activities.

About You

  • Has 5+ years' PQE (guideline only) with strong catastrophic injury / large loss experience.
  • Possesses solid personal injury litigation expertise.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-performing team environment.
  • Enjoys tackling complex legal issues and developing technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to client service excellence.
