The Role

Our Catastrophic Personal Injury and Large Loss team covers all aspects of a claim, including liability investigations, policy coverage assessments, and quantum assessments for multi‑Track claims.

You will work for leading insurers and corporate clients, developing independent client relationships while supporting experienced partners on complex, high‑value, sensitive claims.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Highly determined, adaptable individual capable of thriving in a demanding, fast‑paced team.
  • Experience in personal injury litigation.
  • Enjoyment of complex legal challenges and continuous knowledge expansion.
  • Commitment to delivering a highly professional service and complying with client SLAs and MI requirements.
  • Previous experience dealing with Catastrophic Personal Injury and Large Loss cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team on a broad range of work, acting on behalf of insurance companies and self‑insured commercial organisations.
  • Assist and manage a varied caseload.
  • Conduct investigations, take witness statements, and review and interpret medical records and reports.
  • Report to and liaise with clients to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Comply with client SLAs and MI requirements.
  • Implement proactive and strategic file management, adhering to court timetables.
  • Support partners in servicing existing clients, growing new business, and maintaining client relationships.
  • Draft all legal documents and client advice.
  • Handle interlocutory proceedings, CCMCs, and client meetings.
  • Assist with marketing and business development activities within the team and wider group.
