We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our leading Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced legal professionals on complex, high‐value personal injury claims, often involving life‐changing injuries. The successful candidate will support fee earners on a varied caseload of defendant personal injury matters, including motor, EL/PL, and large loss claims. You will gain exposure to high‐profile litigation and play an integral role in case progression and client service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the management of a caseload of catastrophic injury and large loss files.
- Draft correspondence, witness statements, and legal documents.
- Review and analyse medical records, expert reports, and evidence.
- Liaise with clients, insurers, counsel and third parties.
- Support trial preparation, including bundle creation and document management.
- Conduct legal research and assist with liability and quantum investigations.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, SLAs and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate file management and billing records.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in defendant personal injury litigation (ideally catastrophic injury or large loss).
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and analytical ability.
- Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with claims handling systems and litigation processes.
