Qualifications / experience required:
Essential
- Level 3 Qualification in Playwork (or Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years qualification recognised on the Social Care Wales Qualification Framework)
- Enhanced DBS
Desirable
- Safeguarding Lead / Level 3 Safeguarding Certification
- First Aid Certified
- Food Hygiene Certified
- Prevent Training
Description of duties: To act as the Person in Charge and take full operational charge of the setting in the Manager's absence. The Deputy Playwork Leader will support the day-to-day running of sessions, drive high standards of care, child safety, and wellbeing, coordinate activities, and lead snack preparation. Working closely within a team focused environment, the Deputy will contribute creative ideas to activity planning, support floor staff, and maintain excellent communication with parents, school contacts, and management.
