This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead housing teams based across Wrexham and Welshpool, supporting colleagues to deliver compliant, high-quality housing services that genuinely improve residents' lives.

As Housing Manager, you'll provide strong, visible leadership to your teams, balancing people management with the practical realities of housing management - including compliance, income, voids and allocations. You'll bring proven people management experience, with the confidence to lead, coach and support teams to perform at their best. You'll also have a solid understanding of housing services, risk and compliance, and the ability to see the bigger picture while still paying attention to the details that matter.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Team leadership & people management
  • Lead, motivate, coach and support Housing Officers

  • Oversee housing services including tenancy management, ASB and safeguarding

What we're looking for:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in people management, including supporting and managing performance
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of housing compliance, income, voids and allocations
  • Ability to make sound decisions, manage risk and work confidently with stakeholders
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable:

  • Background in housing, ideally as a Senior Housing Officer, Housing Manager or similar
  • Experience working within a housing management environment
  • Confidence supporting housing teams to deliver consistent, high-quality services
