We’re now looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Supervisor to join us on a fixed‑term basis until March 2027, leading our Accounts Payable function and supporting a small, dedicated team in delivering an accurate, efficient and customer‑focused service. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys improving processes, supporting people and bringing organisation and structure to a busy finance environment.

Alongside overseeing day‑to‑day accounts payable activity, you’ll play an important role in supporting ongoing system and process improvements across the team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and support a small Accounts Payable team
  • Oversee invoice processing and supplier payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Resolve supplier and colleague queries in a professional and supportive way
  • Monitor accounts payable activity and maintain strong financial controls
  • Review transactions, coding and approvals
  • Support process improvements and help identify smarter ways of working
  • Assist with finance system improvements and changes
  • Work collaboratively with teams across the organisation
  • Help maintain accurate records, compliance and audit trails

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who is organised, approachable and solutions‑focused, with experience in accounts payable or finance administration. We’ll expect you to have:

  • Experience working within an Accounts Payable or Purchase‑to‑Pay function
  • Knowledge of financial controls and finance processes
  • Experience supervising or supporting a small team
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Confidence using finance systems and Microsoft Office

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience improving finance processes or procedures
  • Experience supporting system changes or migrations
  • Experience within housing, public sector or not‑for‑profit environments
