Make a real difference every day. We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Refuge Manager to lead domestic abuse services within CAWA - Clwyd Alyn Women’s Aid. You’ll oversee communal refuge accommodation and dispersed safe properties, ensuring survivors and their children are supported in a safe, trauma-informed environment. This is a leadership role for someone passionate about survivor-led practice and meaningful impact.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage domestic abuse support services
- Oversee refuge and dispersed accommodation
- Support, guide and develop staff teams
- Manage safeguarding, risk and crisis situations
- Work closely with partner agencies
- Ensure high-quality, trauma-informed practice
What We’re Looking For
- Experience or transferable skills in leadership or management
- Knowledge of domestic abuse and/or supported housing
- Strong empathy, professionalism and resilience
- Good communication and partnership working skills
- Relevant experience or qualifications in social care, housing, youth or community work
Desirable
- Crisis management experience
- Local agency knowledge
- Full driving licence
