We’re looking for a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our Planned Works team, helping us improve homes and communities across North Wales. This role focuses primarily on planned kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes, alongside other planned and responsive works. You’ll be part of a supportive, well-organised team that takes pride in delivering high standards and leaving homes looking their best. Responsibilities

  • As a Painter and Decorator, your day will follow a clear structure, with guidance and support from your supervisor.
  • Work is planned in advance, with safety, equipment, and training provided.
  • You’ll be covering ClwydAlyn’s operating area across North Wales, ranging from Pwllheli, Anglesey, Mid North Wales, Wrexham to Welshpool.
  • You will be given a company vehicle and fuel card for travel.
  • A typical day may include:
  • Reviewing your scheduled jobs and work instructions
  • Travelling to sites across the patch
  • Preparing surfaces (filling, sanding, priming, masking)
  • Painting walls, ceilings, woodwork and other surfaces to a high standard
  • Applying finishes in kitchens and bathrooms following refurbishment works
  • Maintaining accurate job records
  • Working alongside other trades when required
  • You’ll work in both empty and occupied homes, so professionalism and respect for residents is essential.
  • Occasional flexibility may be required, with notice given wherever possible.
  • Qualifications

    Essential

    • Full, clean driving licence
    • Time served Painter & Decorator with City & Guilds or NVQ qualification (or equivalent time-served experience)
    • Willingness to complete a Basic DBS check (paid for by ClwydAlyn)

    Desirable

    • Working knowledge of COSHH regulations
