At Chirk Court, we're looking for a practical, reliable and hands-on Maintenance Person to help keep our care home safe, welcoming and running smoothly. This is more than a maintenance role. You'll be an important part of the Chirk Court team, helping create an environment where residents feel comfortable, safe and proud to call home. About Chirk Court
Chirk Court is a warm and welcoming residential care home in the heart of Chirk. Home to older adults, including residents living with dementia, Chirk Court is designed around smaller household-style communities that help create a calm and homely environment. For many residents, Chirk Court is their home. Your role will help ensure the building, facilities and surroundings are well maintained, safe and enjoyable for everyone who lives and works here.
What your day might look like
No two days are the same, but you can expect to:
- Carry out general repairs and maintenance around the home
- Undertake basic decorating and upkeep tasks
- Change light fittings, repair door handles, adjust windows and complete other non-technical repairs
- Carry out routine health and safety checks
- Complete Legionella, water temperature, fire alarm and emergency lighting checks
- Support with maintaining compliance records and documentation
- Report faults, defects and maintenance issues
- Help keep the home clean, safe and welcoming for residents, visitors and colleagues
- Liaise with contractors and support maintenance projects when required
You'll be trusted to spot issues, solve problems and take pride in keeping Chirk Court looking its best.
