We are looking for a qualified RICS Registered Valuer to join our successful Residential Advisory team.

The position is based in Cluttons Head Office in the City and is suitable for a valuer looking for a role offering the potential to progress.

The team provides valuation and advisory services to a number of primarily established landlord clients including Great Estates, Funds, Charities and Local Authorities, with property portfolios across prime central and greater London.

The role is varied and will cover a wide range of disciplines including Red Book valuations (eg. for tax purposes), portfolio valuations, the valuation and negotiation of claims under the Leasehold Reform Act, Landlord and Tenant including rent registrations under the Rent Act 1977, and asset management.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to prepare detailed and concise valuation reports
  • Comfortable discussing and explaining report findings to clients
  • Organisation and time management skills with ability to multitask advising various clients on different instructions at the same time
  • Detailed understanding of the comparable, investment and residual methods of valuations
  • Strong understanding of the central London residential property market
  • Internal networking seeking to introduce other service lines to existing clients and their customers
  • Attending external events and utilising professional network to generate new business for the team and the company
  • MRICS level
  • RICS Registered Valuer
  • Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Preparation of valuations using various bespoke valuation systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling the development of good relationships with both clients and colleagues
  • Numerate and ability to grasp the fundamentals of supply and demand in the property environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Desire and ability to assist in the continued growth of both the team and the company, actively generating new business
