We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Administrator to join our Client Accounting team. To provide advanced administrative and financial support to the property management accounts team, taking ownership of complex tasks, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions. The role involves acting as a key point of contact for escalated queries and contributing to process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Administration
- Oversee and process invoices, receipts, and payments for managed properties.
- Perform complex reconciliations of debtor accounts and bank statements.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Leadership & Mentoring
- Support and guide junior administrators within the accounts team.
- Assist in training new team members and sharing best practices.
- Stakeholder Liaison
- Handle escalated queries from stakeholders β to include, debtors, property managers, clients, and suppliers.
- Resolve discrepancies and provide solutions for complex issues.
- Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain control reporting on project progress.
- Support action to maintain roadmap to project completion.
- Prepare and review financial reports for internal teams and clients.
- Contribute to audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Assist in implementing new systems or procedures within the accounts team.
Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
Experience
- Significant experience in client accounting within the real estate/property management sector.
- Proven track record in service charge accounting and year-end reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of HMRC regulations, VAT returns, and tax compliance.
- Close familiarity with RICS and The Property Institute guidance, rules and standards.
- Hands-on experience with property management systems (TRAMPS essential; Yardi/MRI desirable).
- Experience managing complex portfolios and liaising with multiple stakeholders.
