The role Cluttons is currently recruiting for a Senior CAD/BIM Technician/Revit Designer in Oxford. This role will comprise drawing work using Autodesk Software to create technical drawings for planning, tendering and construction including architectural and civil detailing. There will be site visits to take measurements and to develop construction understanding and knowledge. Candidates should be AutoCAD and Revit proficient with 5‑7 years experience having delivered multiple large‑scale projects. We have a busy, lively and expanding team. We support other Cluttons' offices with CAD work from Oxford.

Responsibilities

  • Support the surveyors and engineers in technical aspects of projects
  • Produce existing plans, sections and details using surveyors notes and measurements
  • Produce quality drawings for construction, architectural detailing, and in particular civil work
  • Work to quality control standards for drawing production
  • Use and follow engineering specifications and procedures
  • Use and follow internally produced CAD standards for drawing production
  • Be able to complete full drawing packages for tendering and construction
  • Be aware of all client design requirements using Industry standards
  • Translate design concepts into Revit models
  • Ensure all work undertaken is produced accurately to standards in a timely and efficient manner

Requirements

  • A relevant technical construction qualification
  • Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and drafting skills
  • Worked on construction design projects using Revit
  • Excellent skills in 3D modelling and creating 2D drawings/details using Revit
  • Proficient in creating, editing and managing parametric Revit families
  • Familiar working on a CDE and collaborative platform such as Atvero and BIM Collaborate Pro
  • Capable of leading and coordinating Revit‑based projects
  • Ability to mentor, guide and support Junior Revit Technicians
  • Proven track record of CAD Projects
  • Working knowledge of construction processes
  • Knowledge and experience with building surveying practices
  • Technical design experience for detailing RC design and creating BBS
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines
  • A collaborative team player with strong communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience of working on civils projects within the utilities/electricity sector
  • Experience in structural engineering and civil design
  • BIM Project Experience
  • Experience in Dynamo and CADS RC3D is an advantage but not required
