We are an SME organisation with offices in London, Oxford, Reading, Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow. Due to continued growth, our Oxford office is looking to appoint a senior level Building Surveyor to play a key role within our Energy Consultancy team, working alongside engineers, project managers and CAD technicians. This is a senior technical and delivery-focused role, combining traditional professional Building Surveying services with specialist work in the energy and utilities sectors. You will lead complex commissions, manage client relationships, and support the development of junior surveyors, while remaining hands-on and project focused.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality professional Building Surveying services across commercial, educational and industrial sectors.
- Lead and manage complex projects.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams.
- Provide senior technical input and problem solving on complex projects.
- Support and mentor graduates and junior surveyors.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and health & safety requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree in Building Surveying or a related construction discipline
- Strong experience of team leading, mentoring and people management
- Chartered (MRICS) or working towards chartership
- Proficient in Microsoft Packages
- Strong experience delivering traditional Building Surveying services
- Strong experience in managing projects
- Experienced in business development and client management skills
- Good understanding of construction technology, contracts and cost control
- Confident, client-facing professional
- Experience in complex building pathology, major project administration and / or high stakes dispute resolution / expert advisory services
- Knowledge of building regulations, health and safety (CDM regulations, and fire safety in relation to construction design and implementation projects
- Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle for work related travel
