We are an SME organisation with offices in London, Oxford, Reading, Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow. We are looking for a Building Surveyor to join our growing Energy Consultancy team in Oxford. This role suits a Building Surveyor who is technically strong, increasingly confident managing projects and clients, and ready to take the next step in responsibility while continuing to develop towards Senior level. You will deliver a wide range of professional Building Surveying services alongside specialist work in the energy, utilities and infrastructure sectors, working closely with engineers, project managers and CAD technicians. We are flexible and open to location of the role, although there will be some UK-wide travel.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver traditional professional Building Surveying services including condition surveys, dilapidations, party wall matters, due diligence and contract administration.
- Support delivery of projects in the utilities and energy sectors including solar farms, battery storage, electricity distribution infrastructure and flood defence schemes.
- Manage allocated commissions with support from Senior Surveyors where required.
- Act as a key client contact on projects, attending meetings and site visits.
- Coordinate inputs from engineers, CAD designers and external consultants.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including Planning, Building Regulations, CDM 2015 and Health & Safety.
- Support and mentor graduates and junior surveyors.
- Contribute to improving technical standards, templates and ways of working within the team.
Requirements:
- Degree in Building Surveying or a related construction discipline
- Chartered (MRICS) or actively working towards chartership
- Experience delivering professional Building Surveying services
- Understanding of construction technology, contracts and cost control
- Some experience managing projects and dealing directly with clients
- Positive, collaborative and proactive approach
- Knowledge of building regulations, health and safety (CDM regulations, and fire safety in relation to construction design and implementation projects)
- Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle for work related travel
- Proficient in Microsoft packages with working knowledge of AutoCAD
