The role involves joining our market leading Rating team based in our London office. You will provide rating advice to a broad range of clients including Landlords, occupiers, investors, and developers. This is a key role and an opportunity to develop and play a major part in the expansion of the London team.
Responsibilities
- To work with clients and provide bespoke appeal and mitigation advice across a broad spectrum of properties.
- To manage and grow your own client base and develop excellent business relationships with new and existing clients.
- To assist with and provide rating advice to occupier, developer, and landlord clients through all stages of the property cycle.
- To integrate fully in the wider business network and develop relationships with key service lines including Agency, Investment and Development.
Requirements
- MRICS qualified with proven Rating experience.
- Experience in providing rating advice and negotiating appeals.
- Detailed knowledge of rating legislation and case law.
- Good general surveying and inspection skills.
- Competent and experienced in both the Valuation tribunal and (preferably) upper tribunal arenas.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Commercially astute with an entrepreneurial attitude to business development.
- Ability to work autonomously and co-ordinate tasks efficiently to ensure deadlines are met.
- Accurate and exceptional attention to detail.
- Pro-active and enjoys working autonomously and as part of a wider team.
- Confident and assertive where required.
- Flexible approach to work.
- Team player who works effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Good IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook) and familiarity with Rating software.
