An excellent opportunity has arisen for a talented and driven individual to join a growing and ambitious business as a Maternity Cover Assistant Surveyor in our London office. Your primary responsibility will be to provide property administration/surveying services to new and existing clients, assist in the development and governance of core processes and procedures used by the Occupier Management team, and to assist the surveying team in dealing with general estates management queries. This role suits individuals who have either existing experience of working within the Real Estate industry, completed a property related qualification or are studying toward a property related qualification. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has a keen interest in the sector and wants to build on their existing experience to further their career in the sector.

Responsibilities

  • Support in the preparation of client reports on a regular basis in accordance with client requests, both ad hoc and structured
  • Supporting the surveying team in dealing with estates management queries with potential to take on greater responsibilities depending on experience
  • Support the surveying team in reviewing rent, service charge and insurance invoices to ensure that they are fair and reasonable
  • Processing and actioning client portfolio changes in relevant systems
  • Support in the administration of process driven aspects of estate management functions such as data changes and invoice approval
  • Coordination of data change requests involving any changes to property, or lease information
  • Assist with budgeting/variance reporting, bad debt monitoring, funding requests and charge raising for lease payments or receipts, liaising with Client finance team
  • Arranging property inspections
  • Developing and maintain project trackers for key client activities
  • General administration activities

Qualifications

  • It is essential to have practical experience of working in the commercial Real Estate environment or be studying to achieve a qualification in Real Estate
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent understanding and use of Microsoft Excel
  • Able to work independently and in a team setting
  • Able to build and develop professional working relationships at all levels
  • Able to create and develop property related processes and procedures (desirable)
  • Knowledge of TRAMPS, or other Property Management Systems (desirable)
