Cluttons is looking for a Senior Researcher to join our Research and Insights team.
This is an opportunity for an experienced property research professional to help shape market commentary, deliver high-quality research and analysis, and support client engagement across the business.
The role will work closely with teams across the commercial sector, producing insight-led outputs that our teams and their clients.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience in property market analysis, report writing, and presenting their insights to clients and colleagues.
They will play a key role in developing research outputs, supporting presentations and events, and helping the team make effective use of data and AI-enabled tools.
We would be open to considering candidates at Partner level, and the role could be offered on either a full-time basis or part-time (4 days per week), depending on the candidate's preference and availability.
The role
The Research and Insights team supports Cluttons with market intelligence, analysis, thought leadership, and client communications.
Reporting to the Head of Research & Insight, as Senior Researcher, you will help deliver both core and specialist research outputs, respond to growing demand from service lines, and contribute to a wider programme of client- and media-facing content.
You will work across a broad range of projects, with a particular emphasis on commercial property research.
The role will suit someone who combines analytical rigour with strong writing and communication skills, and who is comfortable engaging with colleagues, clients, and external audiences.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality market reports, briefings, presentations, and commentary for internal and external audiences
- Analyse market, economic, and sector data to generate clear, evidence-based insight
- Support teams across the business with tailored research outputs that inform client advice
- Shape the development of new research products and more regular market updates across key sectors
- Support Head of Research as an interpreter of macro-economic and policy developments, providing regular, high-level briefings to Commercial Leadership on any implications for Service Lines and their clients
- Provide research support across a range of Service Lines, with scope to travel for in-person collaboration where needed
- Be a key contributor to business development activities
- Confidently comment on the market - actively sharing research across all channels and in the media
- Work with colleagues to support client events, presentations, and advisory conversations
- Help embed data-driven and AI-enabled approaches within the team's workflow and output development
- Experience in the property sector, with a strong track record in research, data analysis, market commentary, and client-facing work.
Experience in commercial property is essential.
- Clear and confident communicator, able to translate data into concise, relevant insight for different audiences.
You will have strong presentation skills, with the confidence to present to senior colleagues, clients and external audiences.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear, relevant insight.
You will be able to demonstrate your experience in writing published articles and reports.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word. Having experience with data visualization software and databases is highly valued.
