We are seeking a motivated Trainee Estimator to join our Client's dynamic team. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in cost control and project budgeting, supporting the sales team in delivering accurate and competitive estimates for various projects. Duties- Assist with preparing detailed cost estimates for upcoming projects by gathering relevant data and analysing specifications.
- Support the sales team in evaluating labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Contribute to the preparation of tender documents and proposals.
- Conduct research on current market prices and industry standards to ensure competitive and accurate estimates after training.
- Collaborate with different departments to gather necessary information and ensure comprehensive estimations.
- Maintain organised records of all estimation documents and correspondence.
- Previous experience in construction, engineering, or related fields is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail.
- Basic understanding of cost control principles and budgeting processes is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and report preparation.
