The salary for this role has a healthy Basic of £28 - £30k with the genuinely achievable OTE of £55k and is further uncapped so £60k - £70k per annum is realistic via a structured and transparent commission plan.
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Sales Consultant to join the world's largest and most prestigious industry specific annual conference and events provider. This role involves engaging with potential clients throughout the year, promoting exhibition opportunities, Media Sales, Marketing Initiatives and events, driving sales growth through effective relationship management.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong B2B sales background, and the ability to work independently in a highly consultative and professional environment. You will have responsibility for your own UK, European and Global territory and will generate revenue through Face to face, Telephony and Video conferencing.
Responsibilities- Identify and approach prospective clients through B2B sales strategies to promote exhibition spaces and services from an existing CRM as well as Networking initiatives.
- Conduct presentations and negotiations to secure exhibition bookings and maximise sales opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Occasional travel to Europe wide industry events.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless organisation of exhibition logistics and client requirements.
- Manage sales pipeline effectively using IT tools, maintaining accurate records of client interactions and follow-ups.
- Drive business growth by actively seeking new market opportunities and attending external networking events when necessary.
- Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Proven experience in negotiation, B2B sales, or related roles within the events, Sponsorship or exhibition sector.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to persuade and influence stakeholders.
- Strong IT proficiency, including CRM systems, MS Office suite, and online communication platforms.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
- Organisational skills that enable meticulous planning and execution of sales campaigns.
- Customer service orientation with a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues.
