An established and well-respected law firm in Christchurch is looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join its friendly Property team. If you enjoy the pace of conveyancing and want to work somewhere you're valued, this could be the one.
The Role
You'll provide first-class secretarial and administrative support to the property fee earners, working on a varied mix of residential and commercial transactions. You'll be a key part of the team, helping to keep files moving and clients happy.
- Typing and formatting legal documents, correspondence and reports (audio and copy typing)
- Supporting residential and commercial property matters from instruction through to completion
- Preparing and processing documents, including Land Registry applications and SDLT forms
- Managing diaries, post, emails and telephone enquiries
- Opening, maintaining and closing files accurately
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors
- Supporting AML and compliance procedures
About You
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, with a good working knowledge of both residential and commercial property
- Confident with legal terminology, procedures and document production
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy, with a keen eye for detail
- Experience of a legal case management system
- A confident, professional telephone manner
- Well organised and able to juggle priorities and deadlines
- A positive, team-minded approach
