We are recruiting an experienced CNC Vertical Lathe Turner to join our precision engineering team based just outside Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist looking for a 4-day working week, a highly competitive salary, and genuine career progression within a successful engineering group. Although we are part of a large, well-established manufacturing group, our local team offers the friendly atmosphere of a smaller business. You'll be joining a close-knit, supportive shopfloor where teamwork, quality, and job satisfaction are valued.
The Role
- Setting and operating CNC Vertical Lathes.
- Editing and proving CNC programs.
- Working with Mazatrol (Mazak) or Fanuc controls.
- Manufacturing precision-engineered components to engineering drawings.
- Carrying out in-process inspection to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient working environment.
About You
- Previous experience as a CNC Vertical Lathe Turner, Vertical Borer, CNC Turner, or CNC Machinist.
- Experience using Mazak Mazatrol or Fanuc controls (preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
