We are recruiting an experienced CNC Vertical Lathe Turner to join our precision engineering team based just outside Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist looking for a 4-day working week, a highly competitive salary, and genuine career progression within a successful engineering group.

Although we are part of a large, well-established manufacturing group, our local team offers the friendly atmosphere of a smaller business. You'll be joining a close-knit, supportive shopfloor where teamwork, quality, and job satisfaction are valued.

The Role

  • Setting and operating CNC Vertical Lathes.
  • Editing and proving CNC programs.
  • Working with Mazatrol (Mazak) or Fanuc controls.
  • Manufacturing precision-engineered components to engineering drawings.
  • Carrying out in-process inspection to ensure quality standards are met.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a CNC Vertical Lathe Turner, Vertical Borer, CNC Turner, or CNC Machinist.
  • Experience using Mazak Mazatrol or Fanuc controls (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Very competitive salary (dependent on experience). Permanent Monday to Thursday afternoon shift (2:00pm - 12:00am). Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday off. Overtime opportunities.
