We are seeking a motivated Trainee Heating and Ventilation Engineer to join our Client's highly professional team. Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems mainly within NHS and Government environments.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to support system assembly and troubleshooting (after training).
- Support Senior Engineers in conducting equipment inspections and diagnosing faults.
- Participate in routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance.
- Aid in the repair of HVAC equipment, including compressors, fans, and control systems.
- Contribute to construction projects related to HVAC infrastructure under supervision.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently during all tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge and interest in engineering principles.
- You may be a college leaver with a general engineering qualification.
- Familiarity with schematics or technical drawings is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Experience or interest in equipment repair, air conditioning systems, or maintenance activities preferred.
- Knowledge of construction processes related to HVAC systems is a plus but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and teamwork.
This position offers a comprehensive training programme designed to build technical expertise while fostering professional development. Successful candidates will gain practical experience working alongside experienced engineers on diverse projects within the heating and ventilation sector. It is essential that you are comfortable with early starts and travel - due to the variety of locations - you should be a car driver with your own vehicle although this won't be used for work purposes.
